Dogs are not our whole life but they make our lives whole
Let me tell you about our dog family:
I’ve had Weimaraners since my honeymoon to Germany (where the breed originated) May 6, 2000. My husband first introduced me to them and now I have fallen in love with them. I will not have any other breed of dog.
My first ever beautiful female was named Fa’Lo, a birthday present from my husband. She was such a girl, with long eyelashes, very affectionate and a fine huntress with exceptional scenting ability.
The sire for all litters is “my” O’Laf (Fa’Lo spelled backwards) who also was a gift for Christmas to our son. O’Laf has a muscular athletic build and has a very “laid-back” personality but is the first to retrieve a thrown ball from the pasture across the street. He is also my shadow wherever I go. O’Laf is blue in color and has perfect conformation with a true Weimaraners tendency of being social and a big part of the family.
I currently have four females:
1) Nicki: She is a “cuddle pup” very affectionate with a look of a sophisticated aristocrat and blue in color. She has been to obedient school so she taught my others how to behave like good dogs. Her mother was featured in Dog Fancy magazine so she is a beauty naturally. O’Laf sires her litters too; yes, he has been very busy being a “daddy”! He lets the puppies walk all over him (literally!).
2) Heidi: She is my silver-gray “angel” with light, jade green eyes. She has a gentle disposition of which is very calming and will quickly change your state of mind. I have a loving connection with her sweet spirit. She is my “napping buddy”.
3) Jasmine: She is blue in color and “HUGE”! We nick-named her “Jethreen” (female version of “Jethro”)! She loves to be petted, to be touched, and to be loved. She also holds the title for the “fastest tail” in Texas and at the end of the day makes me forget all the realities of life.
4) Ava: She is the “bluest” in color that really shines; is long legged (like a “jack rabbit”) and has a brilliant energy about her (which drew me to her) and is the first to start a “weim-stampede” across the plains!
The temperament of these dogs is unbelievable, so very sweet, kind and gentle and great with children but such good watchdogs. My canine family has enhanced our human family life and ultimately, the way we live each day.
If you would like to reserve one of our puppies, please just let me know. We would be happy to hold them for you with a small deposit and if you want to surprise someone special on a specific date, we can care for them until that date. If shipping is required, we can check into the pricing for your state. We could purchase the crate for you here (which you would probably have to buy anyway) and could use it for their shipping kennel.
P.S. it is very hard for me to give these babies up! I want to ensure that any interested parties be very good parents and understand the specifics of the breed which are social and need of human interaction specifically. I apologize in advance but you will be asked lots of questions.
